Hello Hoopers!
Theres a lot going on this Sunday! So we actuallly have two events: The How Weird Street Fair, and Hooping as part of Bay Area National Dance Week. Normally we wouldn't have conflicting events, but arrangements were made months ago to be part of dance week (it's listed in all of their materials) and in the past hoopers have always attended How Weird. So these are your hooping options (although technically you could do both):
5/4 National Dance Week Hooping Location: The Panhandle (specifically next to the McKinley statue, on Baker St between Oak & Fell)
2-4pm. This is the final day of the 2008 National Dance Week. Description from their listing:
Join the Bay Area Hoopers and HoopGirl.com for an exciting community dance event with hoops! All ages and abilities welcome. Hoops provided. As featured on the front cover of the San Francisco Chronicle!
5/4 The 9th Annual How Weird Street Faire 11:11am-5:55pm. NOTE THE NEW LOCATION THIS YEAR!: Howard and 2nd St. This event is for all ages. Requested donation of $10 or $5 if in "costume". For all the info go to www.howweird.org/
Since this event is large and goes on all day, it may be a good idea to pick a time/stage to meet up at. Post you suggestions & plans here!

Sat, May 3, 2008 - 5:47 PMI'll be at the NEW How Weird. This is a brand new location that has not been used in previous years and is much larger. I'll be there early from 12ish - closing. If you'd like to meet up with me, I'll be at the DJ GAMESHOW at 1PM. Come and watch some of my friends compete in the DJ contest!
I'll keep an eye out for hoopers. And remember to be WEIRD and dress WEIRD. haha. COUGH GAG gooey.... =)~
