Here's your August Hooping Calendar for Bay Area Hoopers:
Sunday, August 2nd: GOLDEN GATE PARK - The Dirty Bird Party is happening hosted by Dirty Bird Records from 2 to 6pm in Golden Gate Park. Where exactly? Enter the park at 25th Avenue from Lincoln or Fulton Street and follow the sound. A little more info: www.yelp.com/biz/dirty-b...an-francisco
Sunday, August 9th: ESPRIT PARK - On the sunniest side of San Francisco we should have a beautiful fog free day of hooping from 2 to 4 pm. Those of you who have attended Burning Man Decompression know the area, but while it's a little out of the way, it's a great spot for hooping with better weather, lots of lawn, redwoods, and convenient to the T-Third rail line. Esprit Park is located between 20th and 22nd Streets and Indiana and Tennessee Streets.
Sunday, August 16th: PATRICIA'S GREEN - We'll be hooping at the Hayes Street Green, officially named "Patricia's Green" at Hayes and Octavia Streets in San Francisco. We'll be there from 2 to 4pm.
Sunday, August 23rd: SNOW PARK - We'll be back in the East Back at Snow Park in Oakland, California, for a great day of hooping. We've been having great East Bay turnouts here and it's a great place to hoop on come on out and join us. We'll be there from 2 until 4pm and it's just a short walk from the 19th St. BART Station at 19th & Harrison. Park info: www.oaklandnet.com/parks/parks/snow.asp
Sunday, August 30th: DOLORES PARK - We'll be hooping in San Francisco's Dolores Park in our usual spot. It's on the Dolores Street side of the park between 19th and 20th Streets. Occasionally another group beats us to the place so if we're not right there look for the hoops somewhere nearby. We'll be hooping from 2 to 4pm.

WEDNESDAY 9/9/9: WORLD HOOP DAY 2009 with nine hours of activities at the San Francisco Civic Center from 12 noon until 9pm.
